Reframe the Memories
Shift the Focus: When memories arise, try to consciously redirect your focus from the pain of the past to the lessons or growth you’ve gained. For example, instead of focusing on “what was lost,” focus on “what I’ve learned about myself.”
Practice Gratitude for the Present: Even in small ways, think about things in your life now that have meaning or potential for growth. Gratitude can shift your emotional state and reduce the intensity of painful memories.
