1. A Personal Struggle
DadLink is our flagship project, and for me, it is deeply personal. It was created out of a real, painful struggle to stay in touch with my own children during a difficult relationship breakdown.
Like many dads, I faced the frustration of having my contact blocked, deleted, and restricted. Communication lines were cut, and the bond with my children was under threat.
Instead of giving up, I decided to do what I know best: code my way out of the problem. I wanted to build something that could not be taken away as easily as a phone number.
2. Rock Bottom and Rebirth
After a 12-year marriage broke down, I lost everything. I was left carless, jobless, and homeless. That was the moment the mission truly started.
I had to rebuild from nothing. My goal was to go fully digital and regain what mattered most – my connection with my children and my future.
I taught myself to code hard and fast, leveraging the latest technologies and AI. I did this while couch-surfing, sometimes effectively homeless, and navigating complete social isolation as friends disappeared.
Through all the chaos, software development became my anchor. It kept me grounded, focused, and moving forward when everything else was falling apart.
3. Two Years of Development
For the last two years, I have been relentlessly building DadLink. It is an app and web platform designed with one singular purpose: to help children easily and safely reconnect with their dad, even when normal communication channels are cut off.
As of January 2026, the iOS app is in active development and refinement. It represents thousands of hours of coding, testing, and iteration, driven by the real-world needs of fathers in similar situations.
